Not very likely (but does apply to different states) if you get points your insurance rate will go up. If you have two policies for each, and if it does go up, it will only affect the policy by which the bike is on. Hopes that help!

Same rotten driver – same drivers license? – same state driving record? probably

most likely if the insurance company runs a motor vehicle report when you renew

Yup. Your DL # shows your points. Insurance carriers run a MVR on your DL every 3-6 months. It may not come up right away, but it will come up and your insurance will go up!

Any moving violation will go on your driving record, and at renewal time the insurance company will look at your driving record. Depending on their policy and the actual ticket, they may or may not increase your truck rates.
If it was over 100 on the motorcycle, you can bet they will. 5 over…well…probably not. Unless you have a bunch of them.

Insurance companies generally use ANY excuse to put your rates up. They may not catch it though.

YES! The insurance company goes by your driving record.
