They are proposing mandatory . Tou will be paying .000.00 a year for . It will be law. If you do not maintain a health care you will be fined.

    Actually, you would be paying more than $4000 a year for insurance. The Senate bill will cost the US taxpayers $2.5 TRILLION over the next 10 years, and that will only cover the first FIVE years that the thing would be in effect given that it won’t even go into effect until 2014 (Just in time for whoever is elected President in 2012 to get into office.

    ANY Rep or Senator in my state/district who votes for these bills will NOT be getting my vote come this upcoming election in 2010.

    BTW, if you don’t pay that fine, you will face a $250,000 fine AND up to 5 years in Federal prison.

    Sorry to disillusion you, but it’s not "free" health care. The cost of this bill will be evident in your taxes, which could go as high as 45%. I believe this is the going rate in Canada right now for their "free" health care? As for fining people, the moment that becomes law, Obama, and many of his supporters in the current administration, will be looking for a job come the 2010 elections.

    Maybe EVERYBODY in congress should read our constitution, and find out what congress’s job really is!

    As stated already…. this isn’t FREE insurance. Plus, every taxpayer will pay until 2014, before one penny of benefits will start!

    Sounds like a good deal … doesn’t it??

    Oh there will be free health care…for the millions that do not work and sit around on the corner all day! That is what the rest of us will be paying for. I am not talking about the people that have lost jobs and homes during this troubling economy. I am talking about the people that do not want to work, will do anything they have to not to work and sit around drawing disability and food stamps, which they sell for drugs. And it’s true, I know some in my neighborhood that are doing it right now. There are millions of them. They will get a free ride as usual on our dime.
    Do the people of this country have the guts to take a stand and refuse the government health care and be put in jail? I really hope there are some real Americans that will pull together and rebel against this outrage.

    Collect taxes for health care for four and a half years and then limit coverage so that the taxes collected can be used in districts where endangered species, democrats with poor performance rates, can be re-elected. Doctors are making too much profit from people who are sick.

    I can see alot of people sitting in jail then because there are some who are working their behinds off and not making a whole lot. they are just making it pay check to pay check. the other thing is if you go to jail then who pays to keep you there? yup that’s right the tax payers. It also is going to cause problems because this is actually against some peoples religious views. namely the Amish ,it is against their religion to have insurance of any kind.

    Its not free thats for sure, do you know you will be paying for others health care too? Do you know how they have it in Canada? What happens is say Joe Smith working single guy must pay taxes on his health care of 12k a year. Then Johny Apple with his stay at home wife and 13 kids pays taxes of 12k a year too for health care. So tell me why should Joe Smith get the wack end of the deal and pay as much for his health insurance as Johny Apple supporting 14 people? THIS HEALTH REFORM BILL IS UNAMERICAN!
