My semi-annual renewal is coming up. I’ve shopped before and I think I’m already getting a damn good rate, but still I’d like to try to get an even better rate. Any good suggestions? This would be for coverage in California.

    I don’t think "quotations" is the correct forum for this, you’d probably want to repost under automotive somewhere.

    To get the best, you have to do all the work yourself, like contact all the insurance companies asking for rates for identical coverage. If you go through someone like Progressive, who shops for rates for you, they won’t necessarily find you the BEST rate, they’ll just shop around among the bigger names.

    I had AAA for a long time because my mom had it, then added me when i started driving. When i reached 18, i branched off with my own coverage at a discounted rate. But the rates gradually increased so i switched to Geico, where my wife & i share coverage, and the total for BOTH of us is LESS than just me under AAA with the exact same coverage plus stuff like roadside assistance & all that jazz is included, without being separate like AAA & their "membership" crap.

    There’s also State Farm, probably another good one to investigate.
