I am going into the military and will be receiving enough pay to purchase separate coverage for my mother. She is physically disabled though, and is afraid she wouldn’t qualify for any
insurance. She will be able to get Medicare in 2010, but I wanted to get some
insurance to cover her until then. Is there any
insurance group that would take someone already physically disabled?

If she is not working and has little or no income, have her apply for Medicaid. It cost nothing and it is excellent insurance. Good luck!

Save your money. The amount it would cost to get her insurance would be astronomical. Instead, put it into a bank account for her to pay her medical expenses until she is eligible.
