I dont want to hurt her feelings for have her worried, or think i think only about money but if she had life it would help a great deal in covering costs after her death.

    Well, maybe it’s not affordable. The older you are, the less healthy you are, the more expensive it is.

    You can just talk to her about it. You can buy it, but you need her permission and cooperation.

    You can buy it in her name. It is the most underutilized method of creating an estate and would probably be a great idea. If you are simply looking for enough money to cover her final expenses, it would probably be a very inexpensive policy with almost automatic approval.
