im 16. ive called like 10 companies and they all say i need a license for car or motorcycle.
my mom doesnt have insurance but if she needs to she will get it
so what the hell is the point of having a permit if i cant ride without insurance and i cant get it???????

Yea.You Have To Have A Licence.I Think Its How They Make Sure They Can Start Charging You. Im 17 And When I Had My Permit(car) I Was Already Covered Somehow And It Didnt Raise Any Prices. Do Your Parents Have Auto Insurance?

YOU NEED A LICENSE. there is NO company that will insure YOU until you are licensed. anyway, you are a minor and can’t sign a contract. which an insurance policy is, so you need an adult to sign, just as you do to legally purchase a vehicle. So whoever has their name on the title would be the named insured, with you as driver.
