At what age do car insurance rates drop? Currently I am a 20 year old male living in Kansas. Also what else will cause insurance to go down. If you get married, have kids, etc….?

I am a "high risk" driver. I am 20 years old, and would really like to lower my monthly payments. Could you please tell me of any programs in Kansas or national programs that I could participate in that would lower my insurance? BTW, idk if it matters but i get my insurance thru dairyland.

I think it is horrible that they base car insurance rates on your credit history. Having bad credit doesn’t make you a bad driver. If they are worried about you paying the bill, why do they make it HIGHER if you have bad credit? Isn’t that a little messed up?
