• Will my car insurance rates increase? Please help?

  I have a lease with the full mandated insurance in FL and I have Geico. There is construction on my building and while my car was parked in it’s space apparently a rock or some piece of concrete from my building must have hit my moonroof and shattered it completely. I must have this fixed ASAP and am still working out who between my condo association and the construction company are going to pay for this. In the meantime I need to know if I call Geico about this incident will I be in jeopardy of having my rates increased? The car was parked in it’s space, I was not driving, and it was not my fault.   I am shopping around for the best car insurance rates, but the insurance companies need my SSN to give me an accurate quote. Will this affect my credit score if they run my credit to see what rates I qualify for? I don’t want to get my score lowered!

  This hasn’t happened yet, but I am afraid it will. Yes, she speeds, but hasn’t gotten caught yet. While she is insured to drive under my parent’s plan, this car and my insurance are on a completely separate plan altogether.

  My husband and I are looking for ways to cut back spending. We wanted to look for better car insurance rates so we looked online and got a quote that was considerably less (about 700.00 less a year) with the same deductibles and options we already have. The Civic is considered a family car, but the Celica is somewhat of a sporty car due to the GT-S and 6-Speed Turbo. And it’s also a two-door. Also, are the rumors true that if a car is red or any other color that’s usually related to racing, prices go up as well? The car I’m looking at is black.

  I’m 19 years old, but again, I’m on my father’s insurance and he’s been driving a while, hence why my current monthly payment is so low.
