(1) If I am only riding my scooter for three months out of the year, will I still have to pay for insurance during the fall and winter?
(2) What is the cheapest motorcycle insurance out there, and typically, how much would I be paying per month? I am a new cycle rider, but have driven a car for 5 years without an accident.

1) Only insure the bike when you’re using it. De-register it during the fall and winter and remove the insurance coverage. Park it in your garage for safe keeping
2) I’m not sure of the cheapest insurance in your state. See if anyone in your area offers Foremost Insurance. It’s a company owned by Farmers. From the prices I’ve seen average ANNUAL premium is around $50. No sense in paying monthly if it’s only $50 bucks a year

Many insurers will sell you a 6 month motorcycle policy. Try Progressive.com

I live in Michigan and I have a Matrix 150 Scooter. I love it! 74mpg!!!!
I pay $10 a month for insurance ($120 a year). It’s very cheap.
Good Luck. Enjoy ridding while you can
I listed the company I use below.
