So, I’m buying a motorcycle this week, I’m taking the motorcycle safety course and getting the endorsement put on my license, but I was talking to a friends mother yesterday, and she told me that it’s not required to have Motorcycle in Florida. . . is this true? Granted, I’ll probably get it anyway, just to be safe, but is it something that is optional?

the state of florida did not require, motorcycles to be insured when i lived their ten years ago, but i was involved in a crash that was not my fault, (crooked cops) and they smacked me hard! would be best if you had it ,but the laws may have changed by now?

Required or not, not having it is just plain stupid.
And if you finance the bike, the lender will require it.

It’s not required in Florida, but only an idiot would roull without it. Do you have the thousands you would have to pay for an extended stay in the hospital.
