You don’t really need to add him for a week; as long as he has your permission to drive, and you trust him with your car–and your insurance!–he’s good to go. Just be sure he knows where the insurance ID card and registration are kept, just in case.

Most policies would cover an occasional other driver. But yes, you can add him.

You don’t need to add him as long as he has permission to drive your vehicle. You only need to add the person if it will be an ongoing or extended linght of time that they will be using the vehicle.
