This might be a stupid question, but if we do get free healthcare will braces be paid for or partly paid for, oh, and just because i am curious, what about laser eye surgery?
I realize we still have to pay through taxes, i was just curious as to how dental insurance will work in the future.

If Nancy has anything to say, Botox will top the free entitlements the grand-kids will pay for.

yes and everybody would be happy except the greedy republicans

  3. DAR Says:

    1. It isn’t free and

    2. Unless the bill has changed on this point in the last iteration, it will not provide dental care.

Fern, you are SO in for a disappointment…..

  4. Lee J Says:

NOBODY is getting ANYTHING for FREE!

    My gawd, people are stupid.

  5. Ally 2 Says:

Where did you get the idea that something is going to be free? Nothing is FREE!!!!!!

I mean, we start paying for all of this in a few short months, while the benefits so to speak will not take effect until 2014 or later. Obama was even smart enough to postpone some major attached taxes until 2018, when there won’t be a chance of him being in office then. (Of course, there is the threat of him becoming a life-term president, the Chavez way.)

The deal is, we pay for ten years for six years of government health care. Why don’t people understand the implications of all this instead of just looking for a hand out?

You are misinformed. No one is going to get free health care.

  7. Jocody Says:

We will never get free health care, so don’t bother dreaming about it.

You will not need your teeth because you will be fed some more pablum with the government logo brand on the label of the box!

There’s no such thing anywhere in the world as "free healthcare". Someone pays for it, whether it’s in higher taxes, or lower quality of the care received, or both.

As for dental coverage, I don’t know anyone that has paid hundreds of thousands of dollars for dental treatment like some have for medical treatments. If you can’t afford a root canal, you always have the option to just have the tooth removed. You don’t have that option if you have a heart problem

This bill will NOT make health care free. In fact, the first year, insurance premiums will go up 10-13%. Your taxes will go up overall a half trillion over 10 years collectively, That’s a lot. Your state taxes will go up dramatically because of all the new Medicaid patients for which your state will have to pay at least 60%. This same plan has been in use in MA for 4 years. 8 hospitals are going bankrupt. Someone from there posted he didn’t know what he was going to do because he couldn’t afford the mandated $1300 per month premiums on his health insurance. It does not include dental or vision unless you already have a plan for those. This not only isn’t free, it will cost a whole lot more and you will have to decide if you want to pay for your mandated health insurance or buy a home.

health-quotes.talk4fun.net – my family have this health insurance. It is affordable and has good coverage for dental issues.
