my agente told me that I have only three companies authorized for my home area, obviously I get the more expensive quote.
Is it true? the companies divide the city to sell policies?

Who in the world is your agent?!?! Where do you live?!

When an insurance company offers insurance in a state, it is statewide. Of course there are some companies that may not offer Home Owners insurance on the coast or within so many miles of an ocean/high tide. I’m am quite sure there are a multitude of companies that would be chomping at the bit to quote you. Start shopping around.

Does your insurance agent think you are an absolute idiot?????
Call Geico – get a home insurance quote from them
If you add your cars you can save a bundle.

I spent an an entire work week calling around for low home insurance.
Geico was the cheapest – and did not try to sell you stuff you did not need.
    Keep your deductibles super high.
If you dare, make your home deductible $10,000 and pay a couple of hundred a year.

Not all the insurance companies might be licensed to sell insurance in your area, but if you want to find the best offers available in your area just by submiting your zip code and get quotes in a few minutes visit this site.

Your agent is an idiot. He’s probably in bed with the insurance companies, getting a kickback from the companies. I would report in the your state real estate board (if a real estate agent) or the state’s insurance commissioner (if he’s an insurance agent).

Insurance companies are licensed by the state to do business STATEWIDE, not in a certain city. I presume you are in the US? If not, then anything I stated may not be true at all.
