I have not seen a doctor in 20 years (been very healthy) now I want to get some term life insurance?

I’m 58 years old, very healthy with no family history of cancer, diabetes, heart problems, etc…Now I would like to buy some term life insurance but they require recent medical records and I have not seen a doctor in 20 years…what should I do?

Usually the life insurance company works with a medical company that sends their own medical physician to get blood and urine samples from you. They will also check blood pressure and listen to your lungs. Its the same as a full medical exam, except its free and paid by the insurance company. I bought term insurance at age 23 from Primerica and the medical physician came to my house a week later. It took about 10 minutes. They never ask me for medical records. They ask me questions such as height and weight, date of birth, did i eat or drink anything in the past 12 hours, any family medical history, do i smoke, do i use drugs, and some other questions. A month later, the policy was issue to me.

You make an appointment with a family practice physician and ask for a physical and blood work. It doesn’t seem fair that you have to do this but it is the only way you are going to get a policy.
