I got into an car accident recently and no insurance companies were involved does it go on record?
I did call the cops and he did file a report but the person who hit me just paid for all the damages out of his pocket the same day, does it count as being invovled in an accident when trying to get car insurance?

Yes, the accident happended, just because you didn’t use your insurance to pay for repairs, doesn’t change the fact that the wreck occurred. It will show on your driving record, the insurance company will find out when you renew your policy.

Depending on what state, its easy enough to check, on though either through the registry and/or your insurance company in which i would do
