The cost of an vehicle insurance is totally dependent on the actual cost of the vehicle at the point of sale and the year of the make. So its likely that at times a new motorcyle insurance will be more then a second hand car and vice versa.

Why would a motorcycle cost more than a car to insure? They are less expensive than a car. The insurance on my bike is $37 a month, the insurance on my car is $83 a month. Nobody can say for sure how much it is going to cost YOU, so go look it up on a website or talk to an insurance agent. That’s the only way you are going to get a good answer.

Too many variables to consider. Age (of both the driver and the vehicle), value, type, and type insurance you want to carry. Only answer is to contact an agent.

Zero. Motorcycle insurance is usually CHEAPER than car insurance. That’s because 90% of the time, bikers carry liability only coverage – and MOST of the time, they are not at fault for accidents, so there are very few claims.
Oh, except for injuries on bikes, which are EXCLUDED under the motorcycle policies, in most states.
So, motorcycle insurance typically costs a fraction of what auto liability costs.
