I’m looking for health that I can get that’s cheap (I don’t really care about quality, I just need the within a few weeks). What are some cheap options and how long does it take to get approval? Also, less importantly, what are the steps to get ?

The first step is to contact a local agent that works with all of the major companies in your area. If you just need insurance for a few weeks you can get a short term medical policy. These policies are relatively inexpensive and you can be covered as soon as tomorrow.

It depends on where you live and it can take 48 hours in some cases. Find an insurance broker that does business where you live.

All health insurance in the U.S. is expensive. The first step to getting cheap health insurance is to leave the U.S. and move to a country with cheap health insurance.

    Sorry.

Seriously, although there are many different cheap options in different parts of the U.S., none of them are available to everyone everywhere in the U.S. If you simply picked the best cheap option from anywhere in the U.S., then you would have to move to whatever part of the U.S. has that option. If you are not willing to move, then the first step would be to determine where in the U.S. you are, and then look for an option which is cheap in that part of the U.S.

Post this question again with the name of your state and your approximate age. With those two pieces of information, we can give you some suggestions for options that might be available to you. Without knowing where you live, any suggestion would probably be unavailable wherever you are.
