It depends entirely on the insurance provider and the type of insurance you buy. Some insurance providers require that you pay a deductable and you won’t be covered until it’s paid. You might never have insurance that covers your expenses 100%, but some insurance only requires a co-payment. It all depends on the insurance and what it is you’re being treated for and your medical needs.

As soon as your eligible for insurance, it should cover the cost.

You should check your policy, when it goes into affect. also they may not cover pre existing conditions, and I doubt they cover the entire bill. there most likely is a deductible.

You are unlikely to find any insurance company that will cover 100% of your medical expenses, especially if you don’t work for a company that offers health benefits.
If you haven’t had health insurance in the last year and a half you will be required to go through a pre-existing condition exclusionary period. What this means is that your insurance won’t cover anything for a chronic condition like ulcers or arthritis for a period of usually about a year.
For everything else, though, like checkups and such most insurance will cover up to around 80% from day one.

it depends on wether the insurance decides if your stomach issues are "pre exsiting" usually with pre exsiting it would be a year to cover. hate that for you. but as long as they..being the insurance folks… dont know it is pre exsiting then they should cover immediatly. good luck

Now is not the time to be getting insurance. Almost all insurance companies have a clause for pre-existing conditions. That’s what protects them from people who get inusurance only when they know they’re going to need it. If a doctor has diagnosed you with a problem, that is all they need to prove it is pre-existing. Not sure how they would find that out being that there is the doctor patient confidentiality and such. That being said. Most insurance companies will start coverage and benefits within a week as soon as their underwriters have time to check everything out.

It depends upon who "them" are!
Different extent of coverage and waiting periods, if any, exist. Because your question is important to you, if you have not yet started, then you need to ask your boss (or company hiuman relations person) and read the Employees Handbook for your company. In the same company, there may be different types of coverage, depending upon the "importance" or pay of your position. At times, coverage is immediate on day 1 while other policies may have a 30 to 90 day waiting period. You also need to find out how much coverage is provided, as an increasing number of plans now require cost-sharing wherein you pay a certain percentage of the total cost. "They" may not offer to cover your entire bill ever? Again, ask and read the job benefits and amount of coverage.
