our car has been impounded and we need the drivers license and insurance to retrieve the car, although, the car is our parents, who have gone away. but i am insured under the car but don’t know the insurance company and can’t retrieve this information because i am away from our home. Is there any way we can retrieve our car insurance details without other information seeing as we can’t obtain it, thank you.

How can you find out which insurance company your car is insured with?

rej, For auto insurance the easiest way to get a low quote is do a car policy comparison. Be sure to choose the same coverage levels, you can get an quick quote to compare against others. Use the same zipcode, auto make and model, mileage and driving history to make sure you get an apples to apples comparison. To get fast auto insurance quotes, go to http://www.lowestquoteonline.info/Auto-Insurance.html and you can compare all the major auto insurance companies.

Well, I can’t think of any way other than to try calling the places your parents might most likely use and explaining your situation. Are you sure the insurance card isn’t in the glove box? Maybe the cops would check for you.

Start calling every MAJOR insurance company and give your name and say you can’t find your policy and they can find it through your name..and if it isn’t the insurance company they will say they can’t find any record…
Start with:
Allstate
State Farm
Geico
Progressive

U should have the insurance card with you if your driving the car. So its probably in the car the impound lot should allow you to get it from the car. Along with the car registration. The two things you must always have when your driving the car. goodluck
