ok so this one is a little complicated. My great grandfather came to the U.S. to work from mexico as part of a brazeros program. then he died in a car crash while working and at that time the program gave him life
insurance. his wife was recieving money as compensation. then my great grandfathers brother came to the us and filed a complaint that stopped the payments saying that my great grandmother was using the money inapropriatley (this was not true, he was just jealous he wasnt geting any money). Now, we dont know exactly on what terms he cancelled the payments, but we believe that the money was supposed to be held off untill my great grandfather’s children (including my grandfather) were 21 years or older. But, none of know how to claim that money or even where it went. so is there a way to find out where this money is? My great grandfather died around the 1960s.

Since those records are shaky at best, and you have a very convoluted story of how your family received at least part of those funds it is unlikely that you can show you weren’t paid in full. That would be your first step. Find the documentation that shows the insurance carrier still owes your family funds.
Here is one site that has info on how to find lost money:

But whatever you do – Do not pay someone to find it for you until you have exhausted every other resource. Many of these "money finders" are scammers.
