The Missouri Life & Health Insurance Guaranty Association (http://www.mo-iga.org/lnh.shtml) is a non-profit organization created by the Missouri Legislature to protect Missouri policyholders in the event that their life insurance company goes bankrupt.
There are a couple of limitations:
1. The maximum amount of a life insurance policy that they will cover is $100,000
2. You need to be a resident of Missouri. (This isn’t clear from your question)
You can call the Missouri Guarantee Association at 573-634-8455 or email them at MIGA@mo-iga.org.
