I am in the process of buying a doublewide mobile home on 3.5 acres in the Tallahassee, Florida area and can’t find any that cover mobile homes. Does anyone know of any? Thanks in advance.
PS I called almost every in the Yellow Pages.
State Farm and Allstate will no longer do Mobile Homes. If you already had with them, you are safe. But as of a certain date they stopped taking new applications.

Foremost will insure it but unfortunately we are not selling our first home and this is technically a second home… they will only insure it if it is a first home.

There is a company in Florida called Citizens which is State Run. They had to do this because there are so many doublewides with no one to insure them. They are expensive with crappy coverage… Oh well. Probably gotta go with them.

I would say your best bet is to talk to the person/ bank that is putting together your financing. If they have ever financed a mobile home before they would mostlikely have a few insurance companies that work with them.
