    Depends.

    a) Normal maintenance items are not covered.
    b) The Utility will cover from the street to your meter.
    c) You are responsible from the meter onward.
    d) Changes required due to appliance requirements are not covered – larger pipe sizes and so forth.
    e) Failures due to age are considered maintenance items.
    f) Failures due to insured physical damage – tree-fall, fire or similar – would be covered.

  2. Ming Says:

you have to look in your home owners association rules. I think most only cover the structure and things that are visible from the external.

    nope never

  4. Jim S Says:

If the line is on your side of the meter and was damaged, your homeowner’s insurance MAY pay for it. Depends what the policy states and any exclusions. Homeowner’s insurance will not pay for wear and tear, maintenance, etc.

homeinsurance.awardspace.us – try this one. Got my home insurance from them. As I know they provide such a service.
