Can anyone recommend a good health insurance company for my dog?
There are so many companies offering health insurance for pets and I’m not sure which are the good ones and which are the bad ones.

banfield pet hospital offer a nice insurance plan that is paid monthly for your dog/cat. It covers most of the shots, free checkups, and give a discount on most majors surgeries
Get a list of all the companies who provide pet insurance and compare prices and benifits. Just use extreme caution when purchasing a policy. Most of them exclude the most common causes of high vet bill and you could be throwing $$$$ out the window. Genetic deficiencies (such as displacia) and anything they deem to be negligent ( your dog runs out the door and gets hit by a car) are usually not covered. Do some research and decide if its worth the fee or not.

Some of the vets in my area use Care Credit. I would just ask your vet which one they use. With Care Credit the vet has to pay a lot of money to offer it to their clients, so they must like it if they are using it.
