Can a car insurance company find out when you were first issued your license?

I know its wrong to lie, BUT ,my insurance would be SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much lower if I had been driving for longer. I didn’t get my license until I was 22 and I’m 23 now, but they give me the rates of a teenager. I pay way too much!

Hi Calista,
Yes they all check when your drivers license was issued.
I was 24 when I got my DL. I’m now 26 and I don’t pay very much for full coverage on my new Mustang.
My dad found me a company that didn’t penalize me for being a new driver but rewarded me for my good record.
I listed them below. Good Luck

Yes. It is registered with your license # and all insurance companies do a DMV background check on everyone. This is how they find out if you have tickets, etc…
