I have 4 pit bulls, none of them have papers and none of them have been deemed dangerous. I’ve been shopping around for and no one will take us because we have them. Is this a state law that I don’t know about? I have even told these that I don’t mind having separate for the dogs or paying a higher premium/payments and they still say no. What can I do? I’m not giving up my babies, I’ve rescued every one of them and they’re part of my family, my kids would die if we gave them away.

if they don’t have papers, just list them as mix breed dogs and that you are unsure of their origins. i know its wrong, but i had a renters insurance company who wouldn’t take me on b/c i have a husky (and apparently they’re "dangerous"). There’s a list of dogs that are considered more "dangerous than other" Pits, Rottweilers, and Chows are for sure on almost every list and it sucks that they have such a bad wrap but there’s not a lot you can do about it. so basically lie.
