Do you really need liability limits of 100/300/50 on a motorcycle? Im thinking of switching to another insurer and they offer 15/30/5…I just want to make sure I dont ‘underinsure’ myself.

depends on the value of your bike, and the amount you want to pay for premiums you want to have your bike covered completely, you want to have plenty of coverage for your own health care and to be perfectly honest not so much on the other guys. If your in an accident with another vehicle Mercedes or Ugo your the one getting damaged not to often the other car gets enough damage spend your deductible let alone to "take your house" and very rarely does the driver or passengers get injured. So if your ride is a 30k custom and you don’t have a health plan through work better keep the fancy policy. If you have a 1200.00 jap bike and health insurance in place go for the basic and where your helmet.

how much are you worth? if you are worh nothing and will never be worth anything and the lesser amount is ok with your state and you are fine with not being able to cover someone medical bills if you hurt them then go with the lesser amount.

do you have a good job? own a house ( or expect to some day)? get the highest amount you can afford.

15/30/15 is wildly underinsured. What if you hit a Mercedes? If you don’t own a home I’d suggest 50/100/50 and 100/300/100 if you do. No lower-the difference in premium isn’t that much.
